Raspberries, blueberries, nectarines....oh my.

Cannes and finally Aix en Provence all in one
day, not to shabby. Today was more or less a travel day, but of course still exciting! We woke up this morning and packed up to head to Cannes which is pronounced "Can" why there is an S at the end I don't know either. Then for some reason they decided that we needed to spend 4 hours aimlessly walking around in this city. As most girls do, we found the street with all the shops and did a little shopping, and browsing. I ended up with a cute top, and
a piece of amazing chocolate from the cutest chocolatier place I've ever seen. I think you pay for the experience more than the chocolate. We're in FRANCE, we have to do what t
he french do....right? We then stopped to get a sandwich or in France a "panini"...mine was delicious
and then we found an open market where we bought a bottle of blush wine (btw wine is as cheap/cheaper than water or soda...) and raspberries, blueberries, nectarines, and the tiniest bananas you've ever seen and headed down to their beach to wait for the bus. This was the best part of the day. The fruit was amazing, the water cool, the sun warm, and the people watching
was stellar. Life is great. At around 2 we got back on the bus and headed for Aix en Provence, Pronounced "X in ProvAUnce". Our hotel is really neatly decorated and a lot more contemporary than our last one. We had dinner as a huge group, hamburgers and frenchfries weirdly enough and then decided to drive in to see the town. I think I like this town a little better than Nice, It's incredibly calm, and old with beautiful architecture, trees and shops.... very calm. (Mom you'd love it here) We walked around, found a coffee shop and sat and had a cappuccino together..... life is perfect in France.

Tomorrow we're taking a walking tour and of course I've already hunted through the brochures to find the market and the "resale/vintage shops," i've even got a partner in
crime lined up for tomorrow morning to hit them early. (Mom you'd be so proud). We have the walking tour, lunch and then to Arles in the afternoon! I'll be sure to write and update with pictures tomorrow.

all my love.
